It’s been a long time, dear listeners. We’re not sure how often we’ll be coming back, but for now we bring you an explanation for our absence. At the end of May, Sophie suffered a series of strokes. She has been recovering ever since and this episode is a very personal, deep look at what life, love, and sex are like as a young woman after stroke. We will be back with episodes that feature sexy interviews and storytellers soon, so sit tight. Have feedback, thoughts, or praise about the episode? Send us an email at [email protected] or catch us on Twitter @TMSGpodcast, Samantha @nympsam, and Sophie @sophiedelancey.

Daddy issues! Always an interesting topic for the two of us, this week we chat about how fluid sexuality can be when it comes to kink needs, and how Sophie in particular is finding herself leaning towards a direction she's not used to. We work through some things together but it's all still a wonderful work in progress. After we chat for a while about our own stuff, you can listen to the fantastic and charming duo of Twisted Monk and the Lorax of Sex as they each tell us a story from their lives. Monk's tale of waterspouts gone wrong had us in absolute stitches and Lorax wins the gold star for being creative with sexual discovery, hands down. It was an absolute delight to have the two of them in studio and we think you'll really love these stories. The Twisted Monk was originally founded in 2004 when Monk began experimenting with rope bondage and made a batch of rope for his own use. The response was so positive that he started making more for others, eventually forming a business and processing hemp in his backyard. In the spring of 2006, after outgrowing the capacity of his garage based workshop, Monk moved the operation into its current home. "The Abbey" is the workshop where Monk and his team of dedicated artisans cut and finish every order by hand. You can connect with Monk on Twitter @twistedmonk or learn more about his beautiful rope at www.twistedmonk.com. Blogger, educator, sex utensil savant- Lorax of Sex has opinions (and ass-based goals) and they’re not afraid to share them. The name comes from a moniker they’ve come to be called- with a background in social justice and grass-roots organising, plus a tendency to be a walking, constantly-talking encyclopaedia of obscure knowledge. They’re combining passions and bringing a soapbox to the world of dildos and buttplugs. Lorax Of Sex is proudly queer, in every sense of the word, and Deaf. Connect with Lorax on Twitter @LoraxOfSex or on their website loraxofsex.com. Have feedback, thoughts, or praise about the episode? This week we first chat for a while about how it seems to be the season of exes right now and share a few embarrassing and emotional tales from our past. Because what's a little podcasting conversation without some trips down memory lane? Then it's time to sit down with our Swingset.FM sister, Miko Technogeisha who, while we were in Virginia at CatalystCon, told us a beautiful story of first times, kink, and body acceptance. Miko is a Chicago based writer, researcher, educator and podcaster with an insatiable curiosity. She is managing editor for the website Life on the Swingset, as well as a co-host on Life on the Swingset the podcast and The Kinky Geeks podcast. Miko also writes for several online publications about all aspects of non-monogamy, sexuality, and kink. She also enjoys approaching sexuality from psychological, neurological, sociological and historical angles. Find Miko on Twitter @technogeisha. Have feedback, thoughts, or praise about the episode? Send us an email at [email protected] or catch us on Twitter @TMSGpodcast, Samantha @nympsam, and Sophie @sophiedelancey. Thanks for listening. We'll see you on Tuesday, May 19th for our next episode featuring Twisted Monk and the Lorax of Sex!

Hello! Before we get to our guest storytelling portion of the episode we wax poetic for a while about our sex lives, including our thoughts on "maintenance sex" and how we both feel a little lonely with our partners being away, though Sophie is definitely suffering a little longer than Samantha. Then it's time to get to our guest, Tobi Hill-Meyer. Tobi Hill-Meyer is just about your average multiracial, pansexual, transracially inseminated queerspawn, genderqueer, trans, dyke, colonized mestiza, pornographer, activist, writer. Tobi’s writings can be found at bilerico.com and on SexisMagaizine, and a variety of books. She has won multiple Feminist Porn Awards and created the sex-positive porn site with a trans female focus, Doing It Online. We sat down with Tobi while she was here recently for the Feminist Porn Awards, accepting the Most Dazzling Docu-porn award for her beautiful film, Bound By Borders. Tobi then shared with us a thought-provoking story of how challenging she's found it as a trans woman to have anonymous sex. Then we got a little bonus story about her journey into making porn and had a great chat about feminist porn and the politics that surround it. Find her on Twitter @tobitastic.

This episode features the fantastic Kitty Stryker, who we sat down with recently when she was in town during the week of the Feminist Porn Awards. You've probably heard about Kitty's recent boycott of the awards, but if you haven't, her article on Eros: Earnest Feminism Is All We Have: What I Learned From Boycotting the Feminist Porn Awards is a great primer on the issues. Kitty told us the story of how TroubleFilms' creation "Ban This Sick Filth" came to be, in response to the UK's over the top porn ban. So much depravity, one little film! Kitty Stryker is a freelance writer, queer activist, sex-negative pornographer and feminist killjoy. As the founder and co-editor for Consent Culture, she seeks to create dialogue about what consent means, and what boundaries it has under capitalistic patriarchy. Follow her on Twitter @KittyStryker, support her Patreon, and visit her website, kittystryker.com.

This episode features the inspiring Lillith Grey, who we sat down with recently at CatalystCon in Arlington, VA. We chatted with Lillith about many things, but in particular she shared the inspiring story of how she got involved in deaf ed and sex ed. As an educator, activist, and artist, most of Lillith’s time is divided between teaching, studying, and sewing sequins. She is a burlesque dancer, event producer, artist, and pianist, and is currently completing her Ph.D. in psychology. She is the founder and co-producer of Dallas’s weekly Queer variety show, the Tuesday Tease, and is the founder and producer of Glitterbomb, a weekly Queer performance art showcase on Thursdays in Denton. She performs frequently in the D/FW burlesque community, and works to create space for identity development and personal healing through performance art for Queer-identified folks. It's fair to say that Lillith makes us dizzy with all of her amazing accomplishments and we were just thrilled to have her as a guest on the show. Find Lillith at Pretty Kitty Pages.

This episode features none other than founder of the Toronto sex shop, Good For Her, Carlyle Jansen. She joined us in studio to share her experiences growing up in a conservative household and what that meant for her sexual journey. In addition to being the owner of Good For Her, Carlyle is also the producer of the (now 10th annual) Feminist Porn Awards, happening in Toronto on Friday, April 17th. We talked about the birth of the awards and how it's evolved over the years from one small event to multiple days of conversation, screenings, and fancy parties.

We had a fantastic time this past weekend at CatalystCon East, a sex-education conference based out of Arlington, Virginia. In addition to great panels, parties, and reuniting with some of our nearest and dearest in the sexuality sphere, we were able to record a number of great interviews, including this one with OrgasmQuester, Crista Anne. Crista Anne shares with us the story of #OrgasmQuest. How it started, how it grew, and how internet fame can be simply exhausting. Crista Anne is a Progressive Pleasurist, Intersectional Feminist and Sex-Positive Parent with her Partner In Everything, XVO. Foundress of Dildology.org & #OrgasmQuest. She has experience working in different spheres of sexuality for 14 years. Co-Host of Progressive Pleasurists. frequent contributor to the Carnalcopia, and Life on the Swingset Podcasts. Crista is a lover of glitter, rainbows, and coffee. Her guiltiest pleasure is her love for the Green Bay Packers. You can find her @Pinkness on twitter. “rainbow-colored pleasure revolutionary! –Carol Queen, PhDi

After 5 episodes of Tell Me Something Good where we feature other people's stories, we decided to have Episode 6 be a little extra special and feature just the two of us. (This was definitely a grand idea when it came to both recording and editing!) When we do our monthly live show in Toronto, we always kick off the show by sharing our own stories which is something we haven't done yet on the podcast. After we chat about all sorts of life updates including split play and some awkward parental interactions - (two separate topics, don't worry) - we get right into it with two messy tales that will likely have you cringing. If you came here looking for something erotic, hopefully our charm will keep you around! Sophie tells an old favourite, the tale of a blowjob gone wrong that will definitely give you a visual you're not going to soon forget. Think braces. Think hospital. Stop thinking about it before you ruin the surprise. Samantha's story is all about the first date with her Daddy and how things took a slight turn for the awkward once the sex stuff happened. We've all been there though, or have we? It's fair to say this episode revolves around a lot of ... fluids. As always, if you have feedback, thoughts, or praise about the episode, you can send us an email at [email protected] or catch us on Twitter @TMSGpodcast, Samantha @nympsam, and Sophie @sophiedelancey. Thanks for listening. We'll see you on April 2 for Episode 7, the Catalyst Con wrap-up. Speaking of which, we'll be in DC from March 27-29 checking out the great sessions at CatalystCon! Samantha will be there repping Playground Conference, while Sophie will of course be repping both the Art of Blowjob and the Art of Cunnilingus. We'll also be recording some great interviews for future TMSG podcast episodes!

This episode is filled with a lot more Samantha and Sophie banter than usual. We talk about a whole heap of sex related topics like Tinder's new paid features, cohabitation, reading the comments, sleeping your way to fame (or not), polyamory hiatuses, and anal sex. Just when you think that's enough, we also have a great guest on to share some sexy stories. Miss Quin is a kinky, polyamorous clown fetishist and porn performer, based out of Florida. She's cute as a button and treated us to a very steamy and touching story plus a couple of juicy bonus tales that left us a little breathless. Follow Quin on Twitter @ThatMissQuin, search MissQuinCam on STREAMATE, and check out her porn work at clips4sale.com/store/56029. Also, check out the fundraiser for Quin's husband who needs money to help with life-saving surgery, related to his Crohn's disease. They really could use your help so please share this link with anyone you know that can donate: www.gofundme.com/kx5qv0.
